aaaaaand we're back

Wow it has been a long time since I have even looked at this blog!
There are a couple of reasons I fail to write regularily. 1.) I feel like a total nerd when i do (bloggers are not known to be the coolest people). Although I was homeschooled until 9th grade so i guess that automatically makes me a nerd. YES! 2.) I find myself typing what I think is funny, but then second guess myself and hit the delete button about a hundred times. This causes hand cramps and my fingers can't take the pain. I guess i suffer from writers block, or maybe i should call it bloggers block? No that sounds like a bowel problem, I'll stick to writers block.

Anywho I am back and writing again.
My real inspiration came from my friend Dani. She actualy has a blog that is worth reading...check it out: www.beyondthedegree.blogspot.com.

So if you like random blog posts about funny/weird/insightful/crazy/sad/amazing things then this is the place for you.

What Anxiety?

Wow it has been forever since my last post!!

I always feel like I have nothing interesting to write about, so I never post anything. Maybe its because no one reads my blog....hmmm.

In that case I guess I can say anything I want.

I was talking to my best friend the other day about Jesus. We were discussing how God does not want us to be in a state of anxiety, and fear. I love that about Him! Looking at all other religions, one will find the opposite. They are all covered, and rooted in fear. whether it be dying, or some future event that is out of your control. Jesus has declared our freedom from these things! Live in that freedom! I have to be reminded of this daily. It is difficult to trust God for everything, but when I do I am never sorry or displeased. I always find that His way is much better than my stupid plan. He has it under control.

This is one of my favorite Bible verses:

"I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them."

I Want to Follow Jesus

I love When I listen to music and think of God's glory. I have been listening to this Christian artist named Phil Wickham. Such great worship music. There is a particular song, "beautiful", that brings tears to my eyes. It is about God's beauty and how it is everywhere in creation. I can't wait for the day I get to look my Savior in the face and say I love Him with billions of others in heaven. How great will it be to have my whole heart devoted to Christ, and my whole mind focused on Him. No earthly temptation or anxious thought, Just pure worship.
I want to worship Him with as much as my earthly heart will allow. I want to serve Him as much as possible.

Howard Huge...more like Howard Dumb

Alright my mom and I started talking about how stupid the comic "Howard Huge" is. If you have not seen it before, just take a look in Parade magazine on sundays, its there, and very horrible. Not sure what this comic writer is thinking when he writes this stuff. He must get up, shower around two, maybe eat something, and then say to himself..."EEE-Gad!! thats right I have to write something!!"
What he ends up writing is just plain crazy. For instance, there will be a picture of a dog driving in a car, and a small child looking at the dog driving by. The caption will read: "hey I didn't know dogs could drive!"
Yep that is basically the formula for Howard Huge, Crazy=Funny
